Is it possible for a 01 to be PQ?

Like all the grades above it, coins can be Premium Quality or not.
Can a PR or MS 01 be PQ, or is being a 01 simply enough?

Have you seen levels of PO01 PQ status?

Good enough! Worn out is worn out.

  • There are levels in any grade. That quarter in FR-02 that I sold you about six months ago was pq. You got it and said that it was almost a AG-03, but not quite - more like a FR-02.8 hence PQ.

  • I saw an ANACS AG-03 Chain Cent with Rim Damage (Gross, VG-08, Net AG-03) -- the piece had the central detail of a F or better piece, with nice chain and portraits, but was heavily worn into the rims, and then the rims had been filed. The piece was clearly nicer than many pieces I have seen in VG to F holders. Much better than the initial grade of VG-08, ignoring the net grade.
