Another great deal on eBay!

Where else can you get a roll of Roosevelt Dimes for the low, low Buy It Now price of only $29.99??? C'mon, some of these babies are Mint State! And none of worse than XF!!! Of course, they're "unsearched" but he knows there are some MS-65s in there! imageimageimage

The title is a bit confusing. I'm sure that must be accidental.

Russ, do you mean the fact that his title says 5 rolls of dimes, but yet you only get 1 for your bid? image

Btw, I think I can get the same deal from my bank for $2, and no shipping!

A truly great deal -- and they looked to be decent coins by the scans -- was available on eBay yesterday. Someone posted a BIN of $175 on a 1950 proof set and a BIN of $150 on a 1951 proof set. Same guy snarfed them both. Missed by eight minutes ... image

Every one of his auctions is misleading. Either the title says something like "5 rolls..." and the auction is only for one roll, or on the auctions for individual coins he says the photo isn't of the actual coin.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

  • Looks to me like he went to the bank and got a bunch of rolled coins, sorted them, and then re-rolled them. Then he seeded one roll of each type with a semi-key date coin just so he could add a little hype.

Doesn't seem very straightforward - and ALL of the titles are misleading. The verbage on the auctions seems unclear as well. Is he selling 25 rolls or isn't he? Does EVERY roll have a 1909s in it ?? or just one out of all 25 rolls???
  • This guy is a Scheister and needs to be shut down!
  • The dime he is showing is a 1970s.It sure looks pretty.

Not to mention, the dime he shows is a proof dime not a ms dime.image

  • petescorner: I sent him an e-mail and asked him"if the coins were unsearched, how do you know they are MS65". His reply was,he opened 2 or 3 rolls and if you call that searching so be it.The key here is if you only opened 2 rolls you should really know that's all you opened. When he says 2 or 3 that means to me all were searched. That's just my opinion.

  • Never trust a guy that has that many unsearched Wheat rolls for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • This seller is making a strong case to be the new Village Idiot of eBay.
  • The seller is violating 2 ebay rules. 1) Offering the 1909 S as a random prize. Ebay rules sate:"Listings that promote giveaways, random drawings or prizes as an enticement for buyers are not permitted on eBay as these promotions are highly regulated and may be unlawful in many states." and 2) Listing the same item more than 10 times. Ebay rules state:"A seller can have up to 10 listings for identical items at one time...Any additional identical listings may be ended."
That's a lot of money for a wheat roll...$7.25+$5.95 shipping!

  • I was checking this guy's ended auctions and I see he sold 3 complete Indian cent sets yesterday. He's also been selling 1922 "plain" cents for $5.00 each. Anyone who is stupid enough to send this guy money should have their head examined!
