AUSTRALIAN LUNAR SERIES 1 OZ. GOLD COINS

What do you think about these as investments?:

1997 1oz Gold Ox

1999 1oz Gold Rabbit

2002 1oz Horse

Any potential here?

Depends on what the premium over spot price is.

Not to mention what the spot price itself is...

It depends on what the price of silver is.. nothing more.

edit: to say that I like the lunar series personally... I have a couple 1 oz silvers.

Those are gold, not silver, Jarrett.

Nevertheless, you are correct- it really depends wholly on the prevailing spot price.

According to what i have been reading in CBS market watch and sources at the world gold counsel as well as other sources i visit gold has a ton of upside potential over the next 3 to five years.
I would say hold some. They are beautiful coins to collect also.

I agree the horse is the nice coin in the series.

If you buy ten of them, Tulving is selling those coins at $342.95 delivered.

How is Tulving to deal with? Do they take American Express?

I have bought a lot of coins from Tulving. He has always been a pleasure to deal with. I had one instance where I bought 50 gold coins, but only got 47. I called him and had the other three coins in two days. No hassle, no hemming or hawing. He does not take credit cards, but if you are able to pay with negotiable instruments, you can get some great deals.
