AU55 FH Standing Lib?

I saw an auction for an ANACS AU55 FH 1917 SLQ. I didn't think you could have a FH on an AU coin. Am I wrong? If you can, does PCGS attribute FH on an AU SLQ?

it's possible and yes PCGS does.
I have a 1930 au58FH one! (PCGS)

As FH is a striking condition, I would say it would technically be possible to have FH on a VF coin. I'm pretty sure the three major services will attribute it on AU50-MS coins, but nothing below.

I guess my next trick is to look at the auction more carefully to see if it'll cross as AU55. It's an undipped original tone coin.

I seem to remember reading that 1918/7 Standing Libs would be designated FH as low as EF-40, which the PCGS price guide seems to confirm.

It is possible for an AU coin to have a full head. I have seen a few. It would be hard to find them in lower grades since the head will soon have wear. Make sure it has all the details needed to make a true full head.

On a 1917P Type 1, definitely. This is by far the best struck coin of the series

You can also have full band au mercury dimes.

I asked this a year ago.I have a PCGS 1928 AU58 FH SLQ.Everyone said it is possible and even sometimes better.Because of the AU grade,you can get it cheaper.

Thanks for the comments, guys. After looking at the picture, it didn't seem all that appealing. GUess I'll wait for a more lustrous example to come available (hopefully with original surfaces). Here's the auction in case you're curious... link
