"Good Morning Class" -9- Play Ball!

Mrs. Coinboard: Good morning class!
All: (with bright enthusiasm) Good morning Mrs. Coinboard!
Mrs. CB: Class, first... you may notice that some of you aren't here today. That's because of the ittsy-bittsy plague that's been going around. Some of you have died, some run away, and some are staying home today, to be bled and have their boils lanced....

Cut to Klectorkid's house, where he, Gilbert , Blade, Airplanenut and RegistryCoin are all skipping school

Gilbert: Can you believe Coinbroad bought that plague stuff?
Blade: I know! What a dufus!
Klectorkid: I've got these lumps under my armpits...
RegistryCoin: Shud-dup! Let's watch some tube. Gimmie the TV guide, peckerwood!

RegistryCoin snatches the TV Guide from Gilbert and begins to read aloud

RegistryCoin: Let's see.... Sitcom: Dork and Mindy. Mindy kills Dorkkarl for contradicting everything she has ever said. Dork questions his death certificate...

Drama: eBAYWatch. Baseball and Traderbobz ruin another auction- showing up at the beach in speedos. Lucy is rescued from a frothing margarita.

Airplanenut: Cool!
Gilbert: Bor-ing!

RegistryCoin continues to read from the TV Guide

RC: Here... Comedy... Oh, That Marguli! Spin-off of popular series Touched By an Angel. Episode one: G. Marguli in a hilarious race to evict his mother... um...

Documentary: The Anaconda Bi-Polar Expedition. Re-telling of the tragic expedition of Hadrian Stain, killed trying to go Pole to Pole in a HOT AIR balloon...

Klectorkid: Brutal!

Cut back to the classroom and Mrs. Coinboard

Mrs. Coinboard: Classy-wass-wass? How many of you little peckers have ever noticed the strange little boy in the corner?
All: I have! I have!!!!!!!
Mrs. CB: Well, his name is Homerunhall. And he's owns you all. Lock, stock and butt-cheeks...

Cut to Klectorkid's house where RegistryCoin is still reading from the TV Guide

RC: Variety... The Desert Lizard Hour. The two old men from The Muppett Show heckle a convention of professional coin dealers...

Religion: Clankeye's Clubhouse. Deadbeat musician finds God after seeing latest Visa bill...

Blade: Can I get a witness!
Gilbert: That sucks! What else...?

RC: (reading) Telethon... "Stewie's Kids." 24 hour telethon raising crossover funds for the Stewart Blay collection. (Scheduling based on stabilty of PCGS)... hey! how 'bout this...

Public Access: Shirohniichan! Examines in depth whether ancient cultures used lint traps...

Airplanenut: That blows! How about a movie...

RC: Movie: The Ballad of Homerunhall. Ironic tale of a man sentenced to a lunatic asylum, which he himself created....

Meanwhile back in the classroom

Supercoin: Hey, Mrs. Coinboard! I hear a bell! Is it Recess?

The ringing of a bell grows louder... LOUDER... LOUDER! There is a knock upon the door

Mrs. Coinboard: (sweetly) Who is it???????
Solemn Voice: Bring out your dead!
Mrs. Coinboard: (hand to mouth) Ohh! Oh, my... I nearly forgot! Pushkin, dear... will you get the body of Cameron Kiefer out of the closet? Thank you, dear...

Back to Klectorkid's house

RegistryCoin: Hey! Here's one directed by Sweaty Coinberg!... Reality series: Survivor! Members of a US Coin forum celebrate the passing of another weekend...

Klectorkid: Have you guys noticed these gooey purple-black lesions on my face?
Gilbert: Shud-dup, they're just zits.... I'm gonna start calling you Limepit Louie....

And finally, back to the class

Mrs. Coinboard: Children, now that you have met Homerunhall, he wants you to know, he's going to make life better for each and every one of you!

  • Wow a rare Friday at the classroom must have been a big week. If I would have known there was school today I may have gone but I was having to much fun under my rock surfing E-bay and bowing to the PCGS and NGC gods that I may find a nice coin with no fingerprints and graded properly ( to my standard,I have yet to figure at theirs ). I must go now and forge a note to give to the teacher on Monday so back under my rock. Great job clank keep them coming.

    Clankeye,

I don't remember much French (like some of these guys do) but I still recognize a great story teller when I read his work. Thanks for yet aother round of smiles and laughs.
  • I say more than 2 words.. .that means this is the best Good Morning Class ever written

Yeah, and you got to hang out in your own house. But, beware Homey... that solemn guy with the shroud may be pointing his cart in your direction. Gilbert may be wrong, those may not be zits. Live each day to the fullest.
