I had to stare at that darn thing for almost 2 minutes before I finally recognized parts of the Peace dollar obverse...at least I think I recognize it.

IMO the coin would be worth more if it was struck with just a tad more force so that it didn't just look like a planchet with some phantom image on it.

I wonder how PCGS can actually grade such a coin. How could they really tell if it were in MS65 condition or Fine.

How can you tell it is a Peace Dollar?

I have a bunch of rusty washers and plugs, along with metal disks sitting on the floor of my garage that look like that.
