Depending on the luster, I'm going with MS-63. The pic may be hiding things, hard to say. Usually has to be VERY bad for MS-60, which this would not qualify. Could be AU-58, need to see it in person to really tell. I've found that in pics, you can tell AU-55 but not as often AU-58. And the counterpart to AU-58 is MS-63 in many cases. Because it is a common coin, it might slip through as MS-63 where a more rare date might be more closely examined.

Isn't it funny. You can ask 10 people their opinion on a coin and get 8 different answers and 2 "I don't knows."

    So why pay $15 bucks for 3 different opinions and 1 "I don't know"?image

MS-63, MS-62 on a bad day. Not enough marks for 60-61 and not a 64+.

  • "I don't know"
  • I'd say maybe a 63....wondering if that's rub on the hair above the forehead though...hard to tell from picture....rev has good strike for an O mint though. It'll all lie in the luster I think...
  • I'd say too many marks to make 63. I'd give it a solid MS-62.

I say very very slight rub, my brother says no rub also there is toning all around the rim that doesn't show up in the scan very light.
After reading a few Grading descriptions i am now leaning towards MS 62ish my brothe says i am crazy i say he is correct.

Thats it i am sending it in to PCGS

Another consideration when it comes to the "slight rub" problem is whether it is actually unstruck planchet that is being mistaken for slight rub. Pictures are definitely helpful overall, but can overstate or understate a coin by several grades depending on how it was taken. Might want to refer to the thread about grading coins for some discussion on market grading vs. technical grading. link to thread

  • I think it is 62... or maybe 61.... Could be a 63, though... Well, actually, I don't know.
