Hey everyone! Long time no see!

I know it's been a while, but I have been so busy! Since I moved to Seattle, I have been swamped with my new job, working at least 60 hours a week if not 80. Not that I am complaining, since it's nice to be employed. I have spent a little time across the street just because it's easier to keep up over there, but this place just moves so fast! But I do lurk, even if I do not post, so if any of you need to get hold of me, send a PM, or catch me across the street. I will however be back soon with another grading contest, probably in a week or two, so keep an eye out! image

    Welcome to soggyville Jeff!

Fear not, this is supposed to be an El Nino year. Shouldn't rain 100 days straight like it did a couple of years ago...
  • hey, glad you're back!! Any good shops nearby?

  • Well, Seattle has been great so far. I actually only work in Seattle and live in the suburbs. It started raining today, so I expect it will be like Portland and just rain till May or June. The traffic is bad, but fortunately I commute on I-90 and not I-5 which is worse, plus I get into the office about 5:00 so traffic is negligible. The job is great, just long hours, so less time for fun. As far as shops go, I haven't even had time to look any up! I heard you were talking about me, my ears were ringing, plus Clank posted a message about it on the other forum, so I had to stop by!

  • That's great! What is the internship for? Is it academic or future career related? I'm sure I'll find a coin shop by then, after all, from what I've been seeing, eBay is getting pricey!

And Blue, what's that in your little one's hands? Do I see an eagle? Perhaps a Lib?
  • Well, I gotta go cook dinner, so I'll see you all around. Does anyone else think it's sad that I can no longer stay awake past 9:00 during the week? image

I believe that is a 2-center in the Heiress' hands/mouth.

My dad was in Seattle a few weeks ago and a speaker just happened to be one of the vice presidents of... you guessed it... Boeing. He is now trying to find me an internship working IN the design bureau of Boeing (where I want to end up when I leave college) imageimageimageimage

  • Boeing! That's great! I just noticed tonight on my way home from work that there is a small Boeing office in my town (big shock, I think they have offices in every town in the Seattle area). Well, I hope you get the internship, I think you'd love it!

PS-I thought that was an eagle in the Heiress' other hand (though I wonder why she would ever choose to eat copper over gold).
