Nice coin, but Lincolns come much, much nicer. I remember a couple of years ago, Legend had both the Andre Dawson specimen and another 67 coin that was even prettier. I still kick myself daily for not buying one of these coins...Maybe the lady from Legend still has an electronic photo on file she can paste into this string...both were truly awesome commems.

Well, sure. If you want to start gathering the 67's and even a few 68's I've seen that are out there, I don't doubt you could find one prettier. But... this coin as a 65 is an awesome coin. And he's certainly telling the truth when he says lincolns don't often come with rainbow colors. This one would always be welcome in my collection.

    Clankeye,
You misread my intent. I "love" the coin as a 65. Was only hoping to prod Ms. Sperber to post some more "eye candy."

Ahhh, I see. Sorry, I missed the plan. I wasn't trying to get on your case, I just thought "Wow, he's hard to please."
I too would love to see scans of the coins you mentioned if Legend has the time and inclination.
If you go to the NGC site and look at Gregg Bingham's collection, he has a picture of a very, very nice Lincoln.
I am a huge fan of Lincoln commems. I'm sure I've said it somewhere here before, but I think it is one of the most striking portraits of Lincoln I've ever seen.
