Looking for fellow Boston collectors

Hello, I'm new to this board. My name is Terry. I collect Lincoln cents, and have recently become
interested in Buffalo nickels. However, my interest in coin collecting encompasses all U.S. coins. I've been collecting off and on for twenty years. I'm interested in meeting people in the Boston area who would like to go to shows or auctions with me.

Please feel free to respond to this post or email me at beaconterry@yahoo.com.

Sincerely,
Terry

I'm up in Salem N.H., not too far from the city. The Chelmsford Ma., Auburn Ma., and Nashua N.H. shows are all decent. I'll be heading to the Auburn show the weekend of the 10th......I think anyway. image

  • Hi Terry,
I live in Boston (Somerville) and work in Boston.

Save up some money for the New England Coin Show that will happen in about 2 weeks (November 13-16) at the Radison Hotel downtown in the Theater District (just a few steps from Beacon Hill). PM me for more details. Its a pretty good show.

I live in a suburb of Boston. I also go to the Nashua show, Chelmsford show and will be attending the Baystate coin show on Nov 15-17. PM me if you are interested in meeting at any of these shows. jack
  • Hi Terry and fellow M@$$holes. I live in Arlington and work in Waltham. I'm definetly going to the Baystate coin show this November. It will be my first big show so I'm kind of excited. If you or anyone else want to meet up at the show or afterword for a beer let me know. I don't get to talk to collectors in person very often so it would be nice to discuss numismatics without having to watch the other persons eyes roll back in their head.

  • Thank you all for responding.

MtMan ... I'm trying to arrange a meeting with Jack. It would be great if you could join us.
Does Saturday 10am at the Bay State Coin Show in the lobby work for you?

    PM me with your response.

    Thanks,
    Terry
  • What you guys aren't getting out of work early on Friday? Bunch of laisse fair collectors if you ask me. :-)

I'm sending you a PM shortly.

I'll have to check in with everyone's plans for Bay State. I'm iffy on that one, but could possibly get there.

    Hi Terry!

I'm a Boston area dealer, and I set up at local shows. Here is a list of the regular monthly shows:

Dedham, MA - First Sunday of the month, more stamps than coins
Nashua, NH - Thirst Sunday of the month - all coins
Chelmsford, MA - Usually the fourth Sunday of the month - coins.

The Bay State show will be held November 14 (dealers' night - extra charge thought the 17th. The best public days are Friday and Saturday. Sunday is never not well attended by the dealers.

    Clubs:

Collectors Club of Boston - Fourth Sunday of the Month - Newton Highlands Women's Club - West Newton, MA
Boston Numismatics Society - Second Sunday of the Month - Newton Highlands Women's Club - West Newton, MA

Send me a PM if you want directions.

Check me out at the shows - my company name is William T. Jones, Numismatist.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Hey Bryan,

Whats hot? When are you leaving for the Baltimore show?. I spent this past weekend in Manhattan. Had to go to a wedding. Took a walk by the Marriott and it brought back all the memorys of the ANA.

Looking to hear from you and maybe see some sexy coins coming my way.

    Talk soon. jackimage

    HI
I live in Salem NH also, and I work in Revere MA. I know Northeast Coin will be there. Does anybody know if any other major dealers are attending?
