A coin with it's own Trading Card.
What will they think of next?
Very cool (kind of, I guess).

Maybe not a game, but certainly someone can make up rules. It could be like Masterpiece, I guess, but instead of Picassos, you're selling an 1822 Half Eagle.

I can see these being everywhere at coin shows for the next few years as everyone is trying to complete their card set.
Here was the press release:

<< <i>To me, the idea is ridiculous... but there will be those that trip over their wallets to get these... and then, oooo oooo ooo a 'key date' card.... next, someone will be 'toning' the cards (i.e. photoshop)... where does the madness end? Cheers, RickO >>
I don't know about toning them, but I can see them being slabbed some day...
I guess I'm not completely against it. Who knows, maybe it will be an affordable way to attract kids to the hobby. They could buy coin trading cards and learn the "stats" about coins, maybe getting them interested in collecting the real thing. I'm just against what I'm afraid it will be marketed as....an excellent investment that will only go up, with the books to prove what prices will be in 5 and 10 years, ie Beanie Babies.
