The list has V-dimes and V-quarters. Some rarities! And 1 prestige proof set to top it off...

Strange as it might sound, I receive e-mails frequently asking me to buy "my rare coin collection worth $XXX,xxx. for 80% of it's value." They send no description or list of what they have and expect me to purchase it. This auction is probably from one of the people who sent me an e-mail.

After all the painstaking time and effort he (she) took to compile that list on TWO sheets no less and then NO SALE.image

    Joe.
  • Actually it is compiled on one sheet of which he needed two pictures to show all 28 items, 1 - 22 in the first pic and 8 - 28 in the second. From just a quick look at his list I'd say more like worth $1,000 or so. If he cuts two zeros off his estimate and opening bid he might get somewhere.

<< <i>VERY LARGE COIN COLLECTION WORTH 100,000+ SELLING AT HALF THE VALUE. WAY TOO MUCH TO LIST. >>

Umm, the starting bid is $35,000. Since when is $35,000 half of $100,000?

Of course, those "V-dimes" and "V-quarters" might be too hard to pass up.

What's #5 on the list? Looks like it says "224 freaks".

Hmmm, interesting he's got no negative feedback but one neutral that says "A little confusion in transaction, but all is well"

I guess all is well indeed!

  • I believe it is 224 Franks 2X2's So it is either 224 half dollar sized 2X2's or $112 face in junk silver.

But what I like best is, he says "WAY TOO MUCH TO LIST," and then he provides a list.

What's to know he's selling a sheet of paper with coins listed on it.

  • I have always thought it was a risk to buy a coin from a scan, but I have several times. I never have bought a piece of paper from a scan, not before and not now!

  • for that kind of money he should have scanned a pirates treasure map with detailed directions of this wonderfull collection, and started the bidding at 1000.00$ then all the freaks and gamblers would have come out of the wood work, and he might have got some bids!
provided the treasure tale was written well imageand the story line got your attention
