Threatening emails from Ebay scam artist

Today, I happened upon another Ebay seller, using someone else's image to try to sell a coin he doesn't own. I notified him that I was on to him and he sent two emails threatening me.
This is the item number on Ebay : 1391794872. Sorry, I don't know how to provide the link.
If anyone can get the guy's name, address and phone number through Ebay ( I wasn't able to, but know some of you guys have capabilities I don't in that area), I'd very much appreciate it, as I'd like to report him to the police. Thanks.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
Also, we may be able to determine some of his info from the header on the e-mail...at least back to his ISP, and then take it from there.
In the meantime, his name is a little to close to mine for comfort. . .

Gimmee a break. Nice catch Coinguy!
What is the sellers e-mail address?
They said it was the only one. Wonder if Rick is aware of this.

I had asked the seller for the ID # previously and he initially played dumb, telling me both that the coin was and was not in a holder! He also offerd to sell it to me for $800 and I told him it was worth more than that.
I was also informed by one of the bidders I'd contacted that the coin was previosly offered on Ebay by R&I - the image had looked familiar but I couldn't recall where I'd seen it.
Someone sent me a PM advising me on how to get the guy's address etc. I'm going to give it a try.
<< <i>Can you please provide the pcgs certification number for this coin? Thanks. >>
Just a simple sounding, non-threatening request. I'll bet he doesn't respond.

Some doofus just bid $2,000 on the thing!
(It'll be interesting to read what that doofus says when he retracts his bid...)
You're one of my heroes from this forum of folks! Thanks for stepping up to this one.
Coinguy1 - good catch. I'm glad you're on these forums...
Here's the same coin on Yahoo:1858 Proof
Must be the same guy, url where he keeps his pictures: http://i8.ac.yahoo.com/users/3/2/6/4/choice2004455-img600x311-10339574731858_seated_dime_pcgs_pr65_cameo_rare.jpg

Has anyone contacted the Yahoo seller?
That's a good idea. Somebody who's a member at Yahoo should pose the question in the Q&A section of the auction. If it is not the same seller, that would alert him that somebody stole his pic. If it is the same seller, it would alert him that people are on to him.

I could link to that picture on yahoo if I wanted.
For all I know the yahoo seller stole the picture from someplace else and the ebay seller linked to it.
Coin Guy didn't post the e-mail address that the eBay seller sent the threat from and I don't have a yahoo account so I can't help.
Question posed.
and it sets us apart from practitioners and consultants. Gregor

Most auction stealers will just copy and paste the same info.
They are bums

I don't mind helpin' protect some unsuspecting bidders from a scam, but I would like to avoid getting in hot water with eBay or whoever. It might only be a slap on the wrist I'd get from eBay, or if I win the auction before I can retract, I risk sullying my feedback with a neg, but that probably isn't that big an issue and I think it's worth the risk.
Note that I did NOT publish that person's info here, as that would definitely get me in hot water, and probably NARU'ed by eBay. I only forwarded the automated email I got on to coinguy, and no one else. I will probably call this guy's listed toll free number in the morning to see who I get on the other end.
Another good catch, coinguy! Wow~!
I don't think I would buy oceanfront property in South Dakota from this guy, would you?

Please be advised that the following auction:
1391794872 - RARE 1858 SEATED DIME PCGS PR65 CAMEO!!

Dangit, coinguy- you spoilsport! That looked like a nice coin! How dare you get that seller NARU'ed so I can't own it!
I have emailed R&I (whose coin it supposedly was and/or is) to let him know, just in case he is the legit seller on Yahoo.
I take no credit for getting the auction pulled - heck, I'm not even sure what was done to accomplish that. But, I like the result And, I'd like to thank and commend everyone (including those who sent PM's to me) for their help and wonderful teamwork. Thanks again.
That does look supicious. That seller also joined eBay the same day as the first, and is also linking to Yahoo.

Therefore, it appears highly likley that either the same guy who listed it on Ebay is listing it on Yahoo or that some other scam artist is involved. I do not have any familiarity with Yahoo rules, regulations, contacts, etc, in such cases. If any of you do, please go for it and help stop this guy!
