Anyone going to a coin show anytime soon?

I was just wondering - I have a couple of coins I would like graded and figured I could send them over along with the grading fee. You could walk them through and send them back. I have read that ANACS and sometimes PCGS will grade on site.

Any help on this one?

Also - anyone have a Darkside "Krause" for sale/trade?

The next show on my agenda is late in November in San Jose. Probably not soon enough for your requirements, I know it isn't soon enough for me. I'm Jonesin' for a good show.
  • There's a good one in Buena Park this weekend, but no grading services will be there.

Mike- on site grading is going to cost you about $100 per coin... next chance would probably be the Baltimore show...

I'm living high on the hog now, there's a 140+ table show in Pittsburgh next weekend, and then Baltimore two weeks later. And that will be it for me until May, I bet.

You need really nice coins to justify a $100 walkthrough.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

There's a dandy one day show in Nashua, NH this Sunday. I'll be there at my usual table.

This is one of the ones I want to walk through - think it's worth it?

SImply, no, it's not worth it. Even if it came back MS66PL, is the slabbing fee worth 1/9 its value? Why don't you have it sent in with some more of your coins (or someone else's coins) and pay $30 plus whatever shipping you might need?

It takes a long time to learn patience in everyday life and work - THIS IS NEITHER!!!!imageimage

You have just about talked me out of it - maybe with a lot of mental fortitude - I can wait.... Oh but the curiousity is just killing me....imageimageimageimage

    We'll see.
