Can you tell me a grade for this?

I am new to all this and thought this was a very nice looking coin for its age. Any grade opinions? Thanks! Paid $20 for it including insurance. I think I did ok.

Hi Lori - The picture is small, but it looks to be a high end AU (almost uncirculated) to a low end uncirculated piece. The key is to look at the high points of the coin and see if you can see any kind of rub on them. That will guide you as to whether its uncirculated or not.

It has to be AU... there is some wear on the knee. Nice coin anyway!

Definitely an AU.

There is wear on the skirt lines and on the high point of the eagle's breast. There are a lot of small tick marks on the obverse, around the sun's rays, but I don't think it would affect the grade.

Walkers are a great series to get an introduction to collecting, as you can pick up a beautiful coin inexpensively, as Lori just did.
