obv: detail is borderline VF, & i dislike the dentilation from 3:00 to 6:00. color is exceptionally attractive though.

rev: detail is VF, dentilation a bit weak at 1:00, again remarkably beautiful color

overall, i grade it VF- for detail, but i would net-grade it UP to VF, if the color is true to the digipic. these large-size quarters are far more scarce in original condition than what most people realize, and it is terribly easy to undergrade them due to the lack of original detail. they are heavily undervalued too. bust quarters & halves are the two series i most often disagree with in certified coins. i'll attrib later when i can get to my browning book.

My old 1815 Bust quarter was a PCGS VF25, but here it is for comparison, anyway. It had really strong die clashes, which I thought were kinda cool.

I'm afraid it's not a common date large bust but then again none of them really are

In between really, I would agree with VF- or F15, but it is so very close that I wouldn't bauk at a VF-20 grade. Nice coin though!!!!!

the pcgs comparison coin has weaker peripheries, but on the whole seems undergraded by 5 points.
