Only numismatists can appreciate "Coin Humor"

Have you ever read anything on here and busted out laughing and then tried to explain it to someone who was in the room. When I read about Braddicks artificially worn Sacagawea I broke out laughing and my wife wanted to know what was so funny. I tried to explain it to her but she just looked at me like I was nuts. This is one of the few places where you can find others who can understand "coin humor." It can be pretty funny sometimes.

HEHE, that is funny, and mabye true also! mdwoods
We'll use our hands and hearts and if we must we'll use our heads.
I put in a post once that I went looking for a book of coin humor. I found a slim volume called "Coin Chuckles" right between "Consider Depression" and Aldophus' "Can you Survive the Plague?" at my local library.
I have on occasion tried to share the "Good Morning Class" threads that I write with my wife. (Now some of you may not consider that humor, but...) The end result being that my wife is seriously considering divorce. To the non-numismatist, not only is there no such thing as "coin humor" it is infact, The Anti-humor.
I have come to the following conclusions:
1. Coin collecting is deadly serious.
2. Coin collectors are dour, bitter misanthropes
3. Coin humor is infact, against the law
4. Given the choice of a coin joke or reading a 1000 page brief on Enron... it's Enron hands down.
5. Coin humor is the onset of a progressive delusional state.
I know these things to be true. Save yourselves. Never, ever laugh. Especially about coins. They are sacred.
