Lucy's 1950's Halloween music special!

LucyBopLucyBop Posts: 14,001 ✭✭✭
Hey Cats and Kittens, Lucy has just opened her 1950s/60s Halloween music section in real audio. Goto my link below and then click on the Doo Wop section and also the Rare section for the songs, not all of them are rare, but I betcha there is a bunch none of you have ever heard before. You must have the free real audio player in order to listen to the songs. Oh, btw, I made my first PCGs submission at Long Beach, 4 Franklin halves, and I am still waiting for the results, and also I am sending 4 more Franklins Monday morning...Lucy is trying to fill holes in her Franklin Registry set.....Hopefully I will get some good grades, though I expect ms64 fbl's on six of em, the other 2 are proofs and I am hoping to get a cam designation...

    Lucy,

Was that pic of you in front of McDonalds the original McDonalds in Des Plaines, IL.?? I've been there but can't remember if that was it or not. I like those 'boot' glasses that the margaritas come in too.

The Maritan Hop was performed by the Ran-dells.... dorkkarl, I'm starting to wonder if you're my long lost brother or something. Now that's a scary thought.

    yeah, the randells!!!

not to be confused with the shondells, the del-vikings, delfonics, or just plain dells.

wait a second, the randells, didn't they discover a huge hoard of large cents? image

hey, did anybody have that old lp, i think from walt-disney, that had the creepy halloween sounds on it? i think it had an orange cover, written in black. seems like we used to listen to that all the time when we were kids....

It had the absolute best moan turned into a scream on it of all time. I loved the water torture bit. Remember the one with a guy sawing off a tree limb and then he plunges, screaming to his death. A true masterpiece.

  • Lucy: Do you have the 45's or the cd's?I have a couple hundred of the doo wop's from the 50's and some from the early 60's.There are only a half dozen from the the early 60's that I like. The one from the early 60's I really like is Jerry Wallace's "shutters and boards" All mine are on 45's.

The HepKitty has both 45's and cd's..... Lucy travels the country collecting music and if there was a registry for this, she very well may be #1, I've got many rarities in my collection kids, and the Halloween music that is on my site is much scaled down from last year, I left out tons of songs...... Wait till you see what the HepKitty does for xmas music, the best and rarest from the 50s.....I expect to have these updates done by late Nov. or early Dec....... The HepKitty has gone to NY, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Az, California, Oregon, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas all in her never ending quest of the rarest 50s music I can find...

When Senator Bob Dole was running for president, his handlers had to explain to him that it was actually he that was running for office and that he was not campaigning for another guy named Bob Dole. He gets easily confused.

BTW, I thought the only Halloween song was Monster Mash? image
