    It's not a Type 2.

For starters, it's a Type 1 ... can't make out the mintmark. If bought sight unseen, PCGS owes some cash since Type 2 more valuable than Type 1.
  • Wow, PCGS really fell asleep at the wheel on that one.

    The reverse is slightly rotated.

Nope. PCGS won't pay for this. It is a "mechanical error" and they don't pay for them.

None of the Services will pay for this.
I sure wish they'de get someone in the slabbing rooms of these major Services and pay them more than minimum wage. Maybe then the fingerprint issues and "wrong inserts" will go away.
I used to enjoy collecting these as a little side collection- inserts from NGC and PCGS that were wrong- but now it is where they are too easily obtainable to be desireable to me anymore.
There was a seller on eBay offering 1965 Kennedies with ".25c" inserts on the NGC labels. He received a premium, at first, but then toward the end (he must of had about a dozen of them) he was barely getting what the MS65 coin should go for.
