Questions about zero feedback

Besides shills, why would a bidder be a member of ebay for over 9 months and have no feedback? I've heard that some sellers block these, is there good reasons for this. I was a zero once and wouldn't have like being blocked. I've noticed some auctions where most of the bids come from zeros. I always assumed this was shill bidding, but is there more?

I was a member for longer than that and never bought or sold anything. I originally joined in Sept. 1997 and never went back until early 2000 - only to find that I had registered during a beta phase and the account no longer worked. Friggin' eBay morons refused to fix it, and wouldn't even release my own eMail address back to me.

I've sold coins to people with 0 feedback several times and never had a problem. You have to start somewhere.
  • I almost never block bids for my bidders - only if they have truly bad feedback. Lots of folks have bought their first eBay items (and sometimes their first coins) from me, and I'm always pleased by the outcome. I try to help make their first experience with me a pleasant and easy-to-do auction. They seem to appreciate it quite a bit.

The only problems I've had are with my previous business with computer parts. Parts can go defective, and sometimes folks will do a return on their broken part while keeping your good part, etc.

I like coins because they don't stop working image
