NGC had for some short time included either a W or a T in the grade to indicate if the coin was blast white or noteably toned. They've dropped the W but I think they still do the T. I think they wanted to help facilitate sight-unseen trading but it didn't do much for the prices of their coins and basically just made NGC look silly putting grades like MS64FBL*W on a coin

$8.50 for shipping seems high.

When are you going to start charging for this? You're giving it away!
Mine didn't have the "W" designation. Does it increase the value considerably?

Very little. The W has been dropped, anyway. I never thought it made much sense on late date proof coinage since they rarely have any toning.

It means "white".
