I Finally Got Me One! (T1 SLQ)

A 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter in MS64FH. Not the best scan, but here it is. I've been after one of these for a good 6 months!

That's sweet! I especially like the periph tone on the rev.
I can't tell much about the head strike from the scan.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.

Nice addition... except now I'm jealous. I've tried looking for the same thing my self... but I'm afraid with a new addition to the family, it will be a little while before I can freely spend the money for coins like this.
  • Nice coin! I bought a AU-58FH at long Beach, but yours looks alot better!

I had my dealer looking for a MS stander for about three monthes. Finally found a 26D in PCGS 64. I guess they are a lot tougher than some people think.
  • Very nice piece Brian, Congrats! image

  • Brian-
Very attractive, original coin! Definitely one of the mint's finest designs. You are SO right about the availability of the coin in FH. Hard to understand how the public was "outraged" by the bare breast version of this coin. Times have changed.
  • Lovely coin. I guess I'm a bit green with envy, too. There sure aren't many nice MS examples up for sale out there. NICE FIND!

P.S. I give blood, too. I'll be hitting my 4th gallon in December. Perhaps I'll stage an a2labmom-style giveaway when I hit that mark.

    Congratulations on the 17FH!

Thanks everyone--glad to have all you folks who appreciate this coin. As I said, it's been a long search for this one. I still need a pre-1925 T2; looking for a 64FH here too.

I do have a 1929-S in MS65 to sell if anyone is looking.

Very nice indeed. I know the feeling,,,, the need to have,,, luckly a board member came through with one for me the same grade and designation. It would make a nice if the mint made it a commem (like the buff) wouldn't itimage
Need something designed and 3D printed?

Great looking coin, Brian! I picked up one of the same date and grade from J.H. Cline at the Long Beach show last week. They're harder to locate than one would think.. at least they are when you're looking for one. I was kinda suprised that the one I picked up was the only one Cline had.

My Type 2 SLQ is a 1919 graded MS64FH by PCGS. I bought that one from Cline, as well. Both coins are very PQ and I definitely paid for that premium quality!
