What % of your income do you spend on coins? Unless you've got super-deep pockets, you are probably going to have to set some form of budget or max out the credit cards. I have a lot of family commitments right now so my coin spending is only about 5% of my take-home pay. It's fun to see how far I can stretch it.

It varies. Sometimes as much as 10%, but sometimes little at all- I support my habit by dealing.

I have better uses for my money from my job. I try to collect using only money made from buying and selling. Some months that is very good and other money PCGS takes all my money for regrades.

I budget $75 a pay period or about $150 a month. I have a coin savings account, so I don't mix money I would use to pay bills, save, etc. Works great for me. When I see something I want, I get it....if there is money in that account. I just added an 1935 MS66 Texas to my collection. )

I can't answer this question with total candor because I think it would shock people to know just how much of a coin addict I really am.

There's only a couple of forum members who know me well enough to know just what I mean, and I'm fairly certain that they would feel that I need some serious restraint!

I sell other stuff on ebay. I try to leave the money in paypal that comes in from the other stuff for coins. I still dip into the checking account occasionally.

My spending percentage fluctuates widely. Over the past year, I would say it was a bit under 10% but recently for the past month, I haven't bought any coins. I hope no of you are spending close to 100%. Otherwise, then it should be a business occupation and not a hobby. Not unless, you got tons of free time and money like Bill Gates and the Rockefellers.

About 20% goes into coins and 15% goes into the stock market. I'm having a really hard time figuring out which is the worse investment out of the two. Someday I'll put my money into something smart, like the lottery.
