Retribution on the lion King

Good people, It seems that every thing that needed to be said , has been said.

The matter of Kincoin would seem to be a finished issue. The issue and the indevidual

is more to be saddened by then angered by. It is now time to move on to other important issues

of the coin day. Bear

I know you are a nice bear, but c'mon! Troll bashing is fun! Even nice bears have claws, right? image

And it doesn't hurt the troll because they don't care anyway. That's why they're trolls.

Of course, it does get to be boring before too long.

You remind me of the good and true Marshall in the westerns who knows it's his duty to wade into the mob of hooligans out in the street and bring some order to the chaos. Unfortunately, in most of those movies I saw, the Marshall gets plugged. I want you to know though, I'm right with ya Marshall Bear, and if anything happens to ya, I'll make sure they bury ya proper. And I'll speak some solemn words for ya, too.

    Pat.....

You WILL NOT win here. There are ----what is it now? 17,000 members who revere the "art" of coins and their history, grades, shapes, sizes, marking, details, ets., etc.

Your fingers will tire, your mind will numb, your computer will try NOT to find the correct webpage, your brain will tell you "No! Don't go there Again!", and yet - here you come....

It is irresistable - isn't it? It is SOOO addicting isn't it? Don't you WANT everyone here to accept you and your ideas? I mean - ALL - or most - of the worlds collecters are MEMBERS of THIS forum! And - if (and that's a mighty big IF), you are accepted here - then GUESS WHAT????

You MAY just get that gazillion million megabucks for a worth-little coin. You want it SOOO - don't you?

I know you do. How do I know? Because regardless of how you have been treated....you cannot help yourself but to come back again and again and again too see what kind of criticism this forum can think up about you. And WOW - there has been some!

So look - you can do yourself a favor in 1 or 2 ways: You can just accept the fact that you are WRONG - admit it - and cancel the auction, or 2 - just not come back.

Think of how much your own self image would be improved if you just left and didn't come back to the forum...no more endless bashing and name calling...no more questions about your spelling...no more questions about your intelligence...Wouldn't that be great?

Or - you COULD say "Well - ya know - maybe I was super-overly-gigantically-optomistic about this coin and maybe I need to do a ton more research into the "die-crack" phenomonen" (sp?).

You really should give yourself a break....it's gotta be tough putting up with all of this "warm feedback" from the forum members.

Oh - one question: Why did you come here exactly? To search for knowledge of coins and collecting? Was that it? or was it to hype your "die-crack"?

Honestly - all you've done is shown YOUR crack so far. Why don't you try something different?

If you REALLY want to know about error coins - ASK.... you might be surprised.

I will win. I have already won. I have eight of the ten coins. There are only two others. And most of all I have my family.
Can you show me one like it? You want one don't you? But you don't want to fork over the bucks for it do you? Its ok we all feel that way when spending. You know you will be making a mistake if you don't buy it. I have other coins go to:http://cgi6.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewSellersOtherItems&userid=kingcoin99&include=0&since=-1&sort=3&rows=25

  • Oh well...I tried image

Sometimes we are so self centered that we can only see what is directly in front of us and what is important only to us.

Mr./Mrs. Pat McNulty/KinCoin/KingCoin - think about what you have just posted: You have Almost every single one of these so called rareities. Right?

Question: How will anyone else ever know they are rare? As far as anyone else knows - they don't even exist....right? We cannot find an example (you have them all), YOU have the only pics (again, because you have them all), so WE, collectively, don't think they are worth much. (If a bear 5h1ts in the woods - would anyone hear it? (is that how that goes?)) What I'm trying to say is that if there were only 5 examples of something and I had every one fo them - would it be rare? NO!!! No one else would even know it existed!

IDEA: Sell a couple of them at MARKET VALUE with NO RESERVE. You keep 6 of them. Look, I know you won't end up filthy rich but you will still be a "liitle rich", eh? Now you will have a couple more of them "out there" in the public eye. People can check them out and see if there are more of them or not.
And if they are REALLY that rare....maybe THEN - you will have a chance.

Just an idea - take it for what it's worth.

    Oh - and NO - I don't want any - I don't collect moderns. Thanks anyway.

  • KinCoin,

Having the open mind that I do - I went and checked out your other auctions. Here is the result of my inspection of those auctions:

You must have done too many drugs in your youth OR

You are STILL in your youth and your parents dont' know what you are doing on E-bay OR

You are practicing your online comedy routine (do those work online?) OR

You are LD...(if you are - please - I apologize but it had to be said) OR

You are a dumbazz ( I REALLY hated to say that but I simply cannot think of any other reasons someone would post such ridiculous stuff - sorry) OR

You are really a forum member and you are just "messing" with everyone here (is that you?) OR

Well - sh1t - I don't know....are you just really so ignorant to think that someone is THAT STUPID? COME ON! GET REAL!

Because - in the long run - it's not what YOU THINK that really makes a difference. Its what others think of you and your ideas. Above all else - they have to think your idea is 4real - and right now, my friend - you are so far in fanatsy land that you may never get out again.

There is a 1968 proof set which contains a half dollar with an up-side-down "S".
This is a legitimate, sought after variety with an extremely low population. I've
heard about half a dozen of them. I've looked at 1000's of sets trying to find
an example but so far it has eluded me. If this coin were to show up on the mar-
ket it would probably sell for only a couple thousand dollars. There is a real chance
that this coin will someday be seen as a true rarity of the highest order. I want to
own one to help complete my modern collections, but also because it is possible
that this coin could become quite valuable. It's not impossible that a two year old
proof with a die crack could be rare, nor is it impossible that it could one day be val-
uable. But, no coin today sells for large amounts of money simply because it has
a die break. On some rare coins a die break would actually reduce the value. If the
intention is to promote this coin, then more power to you. Just keep in mind you have
two battles to win before you can get your price; To interest people in an error and
to interest people in an error that is normally considered relatively minor. While this
particular coin may be rare, this is the nature of error coins. I have many dozens of
coins, tokens and medals that are unique or nearly so. Many are varieties or errors.
Some are merely obscure types with minimal demand. If rarity alone created value,
many of us here could quit our day jobs. Many of my rarities I would sell for the right
price, I would sell most for even a small fraction of the price being asked for the die-
    break.

If a die crack on a Morgan can be the "scarface" variety, and a double struck 21 Morgan gets a VAM number, then KINCOIN must have a valuable variety too. I just wish someone would explain why my unlisted doubled dies have to be submitted under the "error" service image If only they were REAL varities like the pissing minute man image grr

I can see why he's confused, in any case. It'll never be a legit variety in my book, but wouldn't surpise me to see it in the VAM book of State Quarters (to be released in 2010, JK) either.

How about a 1990 No S Lincoln cent. Even in a PR68DCAM is sells for $3600. It is a true error, no offense Pat but I have to agree with the rest of the people here. Your expectations are way out of line. If you expected $200-$500 per set then you might get some takers. Like I have told you many times in E-Mails die cracks are not that big of deal. All it is, is a worn out die! And like I stated in other threads, if Pat wants to list his die cracks for outragous prices Why Not it's a free country and it gives us something to talk about...

I will say one thing, Pat. We are all collectors here and should respect each others opinion. There are people here who know their $hit (We have Russ, king of the 1964 Kennedy's, but not so good on Bust halves) and bunches of other people. The coin knowledge here can be very helpful. So stop trying to get into a pissing contest with everyone on the board. Run your auctions and try to play nice with everyone in the sandbox.

Then we can go back to picking on Deb and Herold!!!
It is not exactly cheating, I prefer to consider it creative problem solving!!!

If you are a Christian (as I think you mentioned in an earlier post), you should recognize this from Scripture:

    Ephesians 5:3-4:

But among you there must not be either sexual immorality, impurity of any kind, or greed, as these are not fitting for the saints. 5:4 Neither should there be vulgar speech, foolish talk, or coarse jesting - all of which are out of character - but rather thanksgiving.

If you are not a Christian, let me know. I will pray for you.

Very good description and you are correct about the proof errors being so rare. However, In this case I think it is a little more like realestate it is all about location. The location of the crack is unique being that it is coming right from the $ENIS.
