Awesome toning on that nickel, and looks very natural. I recently bought a mint set with an incredible toned nickel like that.

Okay, well it looks like two I got from Fairtraderz. The toning is geniune, probably from a Dansco or Whitman holder (if your coin is from the same source) and yes, they are very pretty.

I'm not an expert and I know this isn't a shameless plug so I'll say it's pretty and I like the way you have shots from several different angles instead of it's best angle so that we can get a better idea of how it looks. Bigdave: the coin is very nice, the color looks genuine, and we all appreciate your candor in noting in your thread that it is your coin which you are selling. Of course, we are also assuming that you would tell us up front if you were going to quote us in your auction. I don't mind that as long as I am aware of the intent beforehand.

you usually see that on proofs an ms is to me looking like that a special coin wild!!!!!!!! i thought it was a proof at first! i bet near the end of the auction it will go for big money with many bidders currently watching it!

It looks genuine to me. Whats your point? fairly typical for a nickel toning. You do see violet or vibrant blue toning from proof coins.
