Question on editing set

I just tried to add a bunch of coins to my 20th Century Type set which are already part of my Modern Type set. Some went in without a problem but several others gave the message:

"Cert number XXXXXXXX cannot be a part of this registered set because it is already registered by another member."

Am I conflicting with my modern set or someone elses set?

  • The coin number that you entered is still in somebody elses set. If you bought it from another set holder, contact them and have them tak it out of their set. Then you can enter it in yours.

Thanks for the info, I'm surprised this happened because most of these coins have been in my posession for months and it occurred seven times.

  • If you have had them for months, contact PCGS and they will find what set they are in and notify the owner to take the coins out or inquire why they have not done so.

  • A real simple solution is to scan the coin, showing the PCGS label and email it to BJ or Carol, and they'll take care of it right away.
