Braved up and submitted...

I screwed up my courage and submitted my 4 freebies that come with membership. It was both good and bad. First the good. I bought a SLQ 1917 TI on ebay form "high grade" money. I was shocked when I received it because it was blast white with no toning at all like I expected. Since I had 4 free submissions, I thought I'd submit and if it got body bagged, then no "money" lost. Much to my surprise, it came back AU-55 FH!

The heartbreaker was 2 1964 proof Kennedy halves. 1 went PR-64 the other PR-67, both Accented hair. The last submission was a 1897 Morgan that only went MS-62. All in all, not as bad as I thought!

    KingMatt,

Not bad! The SLQ rocks. As for the Kennedy twins, check the PR64 for hairlines. The 67 is a great grade for that coin. I'd be curious what you hoped they'd grade, and why?

    kingmatt,

Surprisingly enough, even at PR64 you're very close to breakeven on the Accented Hair, assuming you didn't overpay for the coin in the first place. The PR67 is a very solid grade for these.
