What is this slab?

    I'm not sure but if could be one of the first sample slabs?
    Gold + Silver for sale on BST, Eagles, Pandas, ATB's...

    It appears to be an early sample slab.

    This was a sample slab for the fifth generation PCGS slab (1995 - Nov 1998). Apparently they were all done at one time and they seem to be the only version of the fifth generation sample slab. (There are two versions of the first generation slab, one of the second, one of the third, and three of the fourth generation.) I find them interesting since the fifth generation sample is nothing like any of the the other samples. they have no grade, no serial numbers, they don't even SAY sample, and the PCGS logo on the back is different from the logos that were actually used on the production slabs. Fortunately this is a fairly common sample slab.
