Of all the numismatic companies out there, my highest praise goes to PINNACLE RARITIES

I have been doing wholesale and retail business with Pinnacle Rarities for the last 11 years. I have dealt with many, many companies and numistmatists over the years. Pinnacle, by far and in my opinion, has the best customer service. If there is a problem, they will rectify it. If there is a coin you want, they will find it. All the staff are professional and courteous. Their product is of superior quality. They get the TRUTHTELLER award of five stars *****

In the spirit of saying nice things about transactions, I would say the same for Rick Snow (Eagle Eye Rare Coins), and Ira Stein. They have been great to deal with, and excellent sources of high quality information. Thanks to these dealers.
Also thanks to Gail Watson at J.J. Teaparty for outstanding customer service!
It was out on approval and the gentleman told me he would get on it and find out the status of it. And said he would for sure follow up and get back with me.
Problem is I never heard back from him.
My vote goes to RCNH. Jon Rosenthol in the few months I've had some dealings with him has always followed up and taken a lot of his own time making sure he keeps me informed. And goes the extra mile to make things happen.

The people there impress me very much. Mark Feld has added much by his participating on this coin board. He shares knowledge, has humor, and most important- he does not go for the jugular or condescend to any one, even when at times it may have been easy to do so.
Well, I will leave it at that. I'm not the most comfortable cheerleader in the world. But, since someone started this thread, I am going to tip my hat to Mr. Feld and Pinnacle.

I'll second your comments. I've bought and traded with Pinnacle and have had nothing but good experiences dealing with them. Katy Duncan and Todd Imhof are nothing less than professional and very helpful! It's also very nice to see another "dealer" such a Mark Feld here on the boards entertaining questions for everyone. A very professional group of people!
just send that 26d in 67 on your site for the kind words

Kathleen Duncan - (Katy) is the most friendly, accomodating as well as being the person you want to work with at Pinnacle. She has been on maternity leave but she's back and she is selling coins.

Mark Feld has also been exemplary with me, spending more than 1/2 hour with me on the telephone going over the red IHC's that I wanted.......... and couldn't come up with the match at the time. Yet, he has refrained from nagging and nudging me for which I must say thank you! But I now feel comfortable in knowing that Mark Feld understands what I like and what I do not like).
There are a few dealers in this category and for this I am grateful.
It is called earning your business.
After all, it only took Legend 7 years to finally win some of my business. Pinnacle is only on their 5th year!! LOL.
Others like Joe Flynn Sr. of Kansas City took 6 years to win my buisness .......but that was in 1971!!!!!!!
truthteller - thank you for your praise and, I'm glad that it comes from you, rather than someone going by the name of "lieteller" for example!
stman - I am sorry that you did not receive a follow-up phone call as promised. We pride ourselves on our customer service and it sounds like someone definitely messed up.
clankeye - thank you very much (again). By the way, I spoke with Bill Conroy yesterday and told him about your amazing recap of our advanced grading class and have forwarded the message board thread to him.
rkfish - sorry we can't donate the MS67 26-D dollar to you but we still appreciate your remarks! Todd Imhof and Kathleen Duncan are wonderful to work for. When I decided to leave NGC, I had a number of opportunities available to me (including a number that would have potentially been more lucrative financially) but Pinnacle was an easy first and only choice for me because of the above board way Todd and Kathleen operate their business.
agentjim007 - shame on you! I would recommend a name change to "naughtyjim007".
dragon, Bruce (Scher) and oreville (looks like we might be able to do something within the next 2 years if my math is correct!) - thanks to each of you, as well. And, you too, Stewart.
It could be a lot sooner than 2 years if you guys get a few pieces in stock that I'm looking for.

One of the things I did after my shop was burglarized and some coins stolen was to print up a stolen property report, including a scan of the 1799 counterfeit bust dollar that the scumbags got. I faxed the sheet to every coin shop and pawn shop in my county that would give me a fax number when I called them up. An unfortunately high percentage weren't interested, telling me I was stupid to waste my time.
Not Pinnacle. I have no idea who I talked to, but they didn't hesitate to give me the fax number and the impression I got was that, should the opportunity present itself, they would ACTUALLY react and do something with the information.

Although I don't want Proof Kennedy's... I want the MS examples!
Oh well... at least they have Franklins...
Rusty.
Aside from the above, Mark is one of the most engaging persons you can find on a bourse floor, very knowledgeable, always has the time to talk shop, great eye. Unfortunately he does not have the final say on buying.
Lots of praise from a forum that prides itself on critical assessment of everything and everyone (even mothers and babies). Incidentally, richly deserved! I thought that I was the only one that that knew you were a first rate guy.
Thanks for your help in the past. How's the vacation going?
<< <i>By the way, I spoke with Bill Conroy yesterday and told him about your amazing recap of our advanced grading class and have forwarded the message board thread to him. >>
Mark--
You have me confused with someone else. No matter, I just think whoever actually did this recap deserves the credit.
Regards,
Clankeye
Dragon, were're trying, but you, more than anyone I bet (and hope!) know how hard it is to find the type of coins you want!
Russ and HuliganRS - thanks and sorry we don't carry the coins you guys buy. But I wont dare try to convert you. I have a feeling that would be the challenge of a lifetime.
Bustman - which coin did you buy?
Ronyahski - please call us or send me a private message. I'd very much like to know the circumstances of your disappointing experience. We WANT to buy back the coins we sell to our clients and offer more for those than we do for other coins, because we like the coins we sell. I don't know what the coin was but if we only offered bluesheet for it, it must have been a coin we would only be selling retail at about 10% to 15% over bluesheet. Also, the owners of the company give me great freedom to buy the coins I want to at the prices I feel I should pay.
Trime - thanks - the board has been pretty nice, hasn't it? Vacation was great but, as always, I was and am ready to buy some more nice material for our inventory (unfortunately, I haven't found anything on your list yet - sorry).
It was a 10 cent pattern. About 3 years ago....before you moved. It was a beauty, but no longer in my cabinet.
the folks over at pinnacle rarities mark feld!! and scott!! are extremely knowledgable and have an inside view of the market and also have intergrity and ethics an extremely rare combo in the coin market especially so for dealers
i would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
and i have
and they helped some of my friends and my friends made out very well!!!!!!
if you are not dealing with pinnacle then you are not maximising your money spent on coins
sincerely michael
I am suprised you did not auction that pattern.
sincerely michael
Mark, do you guys post your entier inventory on your website or only your crown jewels?
I can't even get the posting right without mixing up the posters! Yes, I meant bustman's pattern. :-(
Incredibly I thought your posting related to bustman's pattern too. :-(
Michael: keep an eye on me......especially near midnight. That when I sound like I make sense but then again maybe............. ?
me my 1883 MS 65 Seated Half; even sent it to me on approval with no
obligation. Pricing was fair. Give Scott some credit here, too.
