I picked Mississippi (even though it's harder to spell) because I'm partial to Magnolias (I like mountain laurel and rhododendron, too). I do like our state quarter (North Carolina) because I think the Wright flyer is quite cool.

None yet, so far a very disappointing series (dislike the Michelin Tire Man on Ohio and the stock car on Indiana the most - if Louisiana just had a pelican, it might get an OK - but I'm waiting for the coin with the cat on it, Maine should have had America's own beautiful, loving, intelligent, Maine Coon cat - at least the Isle of Man got that right - but Maine couldn't, they could only come up with a syrupy tree, pure treakle!).
I think the MIssissippi art made the most of the medium at hand and created a very beautiful and interesting piece. While it may have been short on being profound or inspirational or historically significant, the beauty of the engraving, with the limitations at hand, made it the most eye appealing, IMHO.

I voted for New Hampshire too. Motto (which I had tattooed on my forehead, JK) old man of the mountain (I'm a mountain man at heart) and the incuse lettering (not seen since indian head 2 1/2 gold piece) makes it my fav. Not the prettiest, just the most interesting (in this conformist, "group think", Borg society.) Some animals don't breed in captivity (bears do however.)
GEORGIA ~ My home for 66 years. The beautiful North Georgia mountains, the gorgeous Georgia barrier islands, the corn fields, the wheat fields, the sweet Geoagia peaches both on the peach trees and on two legs, and most of all those great Georgia folks. Georgia is always "On My Mind".
I've liked the Delaware quarter best ever since it came out. It is the simplest design. It seems like ever since then, the states have been competing to see how much stuff they can fit on to the coin. Too much clutter!
I voted for the Delaware because I was born and raised there and there are so few numismatics items that one can collector from the state. There are no Civil War tokens, no Hard Times tokens, a few medals, some colonial paper and of course the Delaware commemorative half dollar. Still not a lot when you compare it to New York, Ohio or Massachusetts.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
I voted for Mississippi. One interesting thing about that design, is that it is the only one created solely by the U.S. Mint without input from the state. Mississippi did not have a State Quarter Design Committee.
Deleware mostly for the same reasons that "Dan....not Pete) did ! Simplified, well proportioned, organized, focused, uncluttered, strong statement and Purpos of design...and I'm from New York. It was a toss up tho between this and Mississippi.. That's a BEAUTIFUL design/ coin. Ken
Wait, no, I voted for Vermont. It is very evocative, and I like the bare trees. It has "atmosphere."

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.
I like the Delaware, and the sentiment on the New Hampshire, but went with
Rhode Island for the artwork.

Seriously though, I don't believe any of the designs are really great. Some day one will come along that I'll actually want to pull from change.
