The most undervalued series?

I've been reading that certain series, like Lincoln cents, are bringing suprising money. What series out there would you consider undervalued, that is, selling for much less than it is expected to, and has the potential of increasing in value quickly, that is within 5 years. Please exclude moderns from this.

I agree about the high grade and proof half cents. I was thinking within my budget. I wish
could afford them. lol

More affordable and more interesting are colonial pieces, talk about history!! Coins from the 1700s which are "flowing" are $1k+ but you can nab a colonial for a few hundred. Very overlooked.
Most hyped coin? State quarters!!! Everybody is saving these! Will never be worth much in our life time.

but in general
any coin with monster tremendous eye appeal and monster fantastic qualities along with high grade and low pop
sincerely michael
brought up; Any regular issue modern from '65 - '98 in grades just under the pop-tops
are amoung the most under-valued coins. These coins exist in limited numbers and as
the ranks of collectors swell there will not be enough of the ultra grade coins to satisfy
the demand. Demand to date has been quite limited as evidenced by the fact that a
pop-top population of only a few dozen is sufficient to put downward pressure on the
price.
Cointagious is right about one thing. When the moderns come under pressure it will be
a good time to be in the classics, though much of the increases in classics will have occured
by then also
An awful lot of people won't even pick one up off the ground.
The circulated Lincoln Memorial cents is the clear winner here.
