    Guys, I think you are missing the point:

    If you pile up 5 tons slabbed morgans, will some of the slabs crack? Will NGC reholder these for free?

    Perhaps tidal wives are those wives most affected by lunar cycles; these would tend toward lunacy, usually on a monthly frequency.

    tsunami: A gigantic wall of water (wave) that is caused by an earthquake, an underwater landslide, a volcanic eruption or explosion, large falling ice from arctic icebergs, or large falling objects from space (meteorites). A tsunami can travel at speeds up to 500 mph. and travel 1000s of miles before reaching land. A tsunami can devastate towns or cities in a matter of seconds depending on their size.

    I thought "tidal wives" were the ones that when they jumped into one end of the swimming pool, the little kids on air mattresses at the other end were washed up onto the the pool deck.

    Well, I just estimated that you could stack about 2000 (raw) silver dollars per cubic foot of volume, so those 5 tons of morgans could fit into 3 cubic yards, if you cracked them out of their slabs.

    Maybe rich people sometimes call up their landscaper, and say "I'd like the south driveway spread with ms65 morgans; I think 3 yards will be about right..."

    Another interesting perspective is what I learned in geology (and later repeated on a show about gold on the history channel). That if you put all the gold together that has ever been mined in the world, you would have a cube measuring 30 yards x 30 yards x 30 yards. It's because it is so dense and often diluted in usage. Also, most things use only a few microns of gold and it gets searched out and reused often. But when you put it all together, it sure makes you appreciate how rare it really is!

    Lifting 30 cubic yards of gold has to be easier than lifting 27,000 cubic yards of gold...bears and snakes are bad at math!

    I don't remember for sure but I think that the equivalent world supply of platinum would make a cube 10 feet by 10 feet by 10 feet...goes to show what a bargain platinum is compared to gold.
