I bought this at a show for $4500 when bid was $3250 ( this coin realized $3800 in the Benson sale). I almost didn't buy it, it seemed so expensive compared to sheet and the price realized. Saw the new sheet yesterday and bid is now $3750. I'm feeling alot better now. I really think this coin is better than AU50, remember all the talk about undergraded Benson's, this is one of them. I didn't play with the camera long, so pic's could be better. Reverse center weakness is typical of variety, Uncs look just the same ( seen 1) this is the variety with the "N" in UNITED stuck over an inverted "N"

That's really a very nice looking coin. As I recall Ask & Bid are sight unseen quotes. Once seen, obvious eye appeal (as in this case) earns a premium.

Can the lady in the holder come out and play? She shouldn't be all trapped inside. She needs to experience the vast open areas of East Tennessee. And if she happens to follow me home, well that's amour! :-)

I like it! The peripheral colors are quite attractive and they seem to lead to a warmly toned center. Nice coin.
