Well I think I'm prepared for battle but since I do not use ebay at all I think I'm at a disadvantage as these are rarely seen--at least where I get my cards. This is my last post on this as I do not want to give away of my strategy for knocking off these 2 worthy gentleman.
You guys are cracking me up. Now davillio or whatever is seeing kelloggs everywhere with the blam bam cultizm you cast a spell he's even eating the cereal. You just freed up the rest of the world in the set building world as davallio or whatever is tranced kellogs, kellogs, kellogs.
HHHHHHHHHHHHHHaaaaaaaaaaaaaa to funny Matt...
Oh wait I'm having the same effect. Kellogs, Kellogs
Issa Fasheh had a number of PSA 9s on display from early Kellogg's sets at the Hollywood Park show (including 1970 Mays). He may have had some PSA 10s too - I wasn't looking carefully. His prices were reasonable on the items I looked through. I decided to take the plunge into the Kellogg's set that puts 1970 to shame: 1972 All-Time Greats. A PSA 9 Cobb set me back a mere $18. I encourage all the '70 collectors to leave the dark side and come over to the light of collecting a vintage set of nothing but Hall of Famers. Considering what the registry shows on this set, PSA 10s must be extraordinarily hard to come by (only 1 PSA 10 on the entire list - a Sisler).
ZARDOZ - I planned to sell my half set to Davalillo with an elastic string attached to each one, so with a mighty tug, they will come back to Papa. ...And if it makes you feel any better guys, I just bought 111 ast '81 Kelloggs PSA's yesterday, man its like taking 1 step foward and 2 steps back, I need some Sugar Smacks or at least a smack to the head...jay
I have a couple of PSA-10's if your interested. I too have decided that I will never be able to compete with gemmintman, so I will help you in any way possible.

Looking for: Any high grade OPC Jim Palmer High grade Redskins (pre 1980)
You have your eye firmly fixed on the #1 spot, the fact is you won't even get to #2.
get used to #3 at best, and that's if you're lucky!!
Time for a reality check!
This is going to be fun. Is Davallilo manly enough to accomplish this goal? I mean we are not talking about a 55 Topps set that one can complete in 8's on a couple of phone calls and a fat bank account. We're talking 70 Kellogg's, the set that separates the men from the boys
I hope you can forgive me, and allow me to acquire more 3-D cards. The last thing I need is for you to be mad at me and outbid me on everything I want.

Actually not true. I just sent in 19 that I found in my collection. Here is the list. You can contact Jimmy at rakovan@attbi.com if you are interested.

Looking for high grade rookie cards and unopened boxes/cases
I potentially have some access to some 1970 Kelloggs PSA 10's. (I use Schmidt cards as collateral.....)
I'll get them for you, Davalillo, if you will pay the same types of prices you charge for your low pop cards!
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
I am sensing determination in certain quarters that shall remain nameless
However, reality must dictate.
There are but 4 complete 70K sets in 9 or better on the face of the planet, nay in the entire universe. There are 4 complete 52T sets in 8 or better. There is but one obvious, logical conclusion to be drawn from this data.
Wow!!!!! 70 percent complete in psa 9 in just one day with 3 10s thrown in. First, I had no idea that these were as easy to obtain in 9 as they are and second that they would be so cheap. Keep the 10s coming in guys--we are aiming at the top although I am realistic that getting to the top could be a longer term quest. Getting to number 2 though just may be a little quicker than I thought.
My question is, in terms of ranking baseball card sets, where exactly would the highest graded 1970 Kellogg's fall - http://www.main.org/gsusa/division.htm

Virtually everybody on the registry has got cards from me.....including you. LOL

Perhaps you should consider transacting business with a higher class of dealer.

Yes, I too say you should go for it Davalillo. Of course you will need to at least register a single card to start this great quest of yours.

E-mail me. A tiny bit of difference between 1955 Bowman and 1970 Kellogg but we can discuss that.

Thanks to all!!!!

I'm glad to see that you are taking this set seriously and wish you well in your quest to be #3.
BTW, I officially welcome you to the Kellogg's Krowd!
But I think you underestimate Zardoz in the number two spot. I wouldn't bet against him.
Do you collect this set? I see a guy gemmintman that I am targeting and then a bunch of guys way way down there. Are you one of them?
My very best and I accept yours and gemmints kind greetings,
Davalillo
I must be, like Avis, am happy to be in the #2 spot.
But why the disparaging remark? I mean, you'll only be with " the other guys back there" as well.
<< <i>I see a guy gemmintman that I am targeting >>
(Yawn), when you get into the top five on the Registry let me know so I can yawn again.
