Right off the bat I will tell you luster breaks are on this coin. Cart Wheel is present. Some hairlines are present. Bag marks are present. Looks original to me.

It looks slightly flat under the RT in liberty and the bottom of the tail also looks a little flat... don't know about the series so I couldn't say if it might be a weak strike... based on that, AU-58... if it is MS, MS-64

It looks mint state, but it's nearly impossible to see a slight rub from a scan. If you can spot a rub by looking at the coin up close and personal then AU-58, otherwise probably MS62.

Hi Fairlaneman,

Very nice coin ..., but, since you mentioned the break in luster (honest and objective as I like), I will have to conclude AU55-58. The break in luster tells me it's seen some circulation albeit minimal and distinguishes it from a weak srtike. Scans are hard to judge as I've learned "the hard way" with past purchases. That's why I like the "luster". I know they come off of the latter strikes from the die, but, yields "proof positive". Overall, the coin has Excellent eye-appeal. Judgement call on the value IMHO.

Really impossible to tell, however, I'll give it a go anyway. It's an 1892 and that precludes most striking problems from this piece so I will say that the apparent flatness of the top curls on the forehead and the tip of the wing are wear. AU.
