<< <i>Moreover, while we are collectors / numismatists and NOT dealers, we stand behind each and every one of our coins. If you're not happy, tell us why (return original) and we will ship you another (we are lucky enough to have 3 of these beauties in stock!!)! >>
From an eBay listing that also has a huge load of hype about how "rare" the coin is (1995 Kennedy proof).

I prefer my return policies to read more like this: "Return the coin within 7 days for refund. No questions asked."

3 1995 JFK proofs = lucky. I don't think so. Now 3 1933 $20 gold pieces, that's lucky.

In my experience, dealers are more likely to stand behind their coins than collectors for this reason, the dealer has a business doing this, but the collector is mainly trying to eliminate duplicates and reinvest the proceeds. How many times have you seen private parties selling coins from an estate or some such thing, and allow no returns? Most dealers have no real problems with returns as they have lots of other customers that might potentially want the coin. Certainly this is not a generalization of all collectors or dealers, but it seems to me that a person running a business is more likely to offer a return policy than a person just selling one thing. When was the last time you asked for a return priviledge at a garage sale?
They could just ship you the exact same one back- may only have 1 in stock

I also prefer the "return within X days for a full refund..." but if I was selling a ton of coins on eBay I'd want to know what made someone unhappy with an auction if for any reason, just so as not to repeat the "mistake".
It is kind of fishy though to have three of those scarce (and a little expensive, as far as Kennedies go) coins in a "collection" and not an "inventory".
