Non-coin collectors?

do all the people that dont collect coins think we r crazy saving round pieces of metal. and having debates over toned coins and spending 400 bucks on an old dime???

  • Of course they do. Along with cars, stamps, shoes etc. If you are not interested in it, then you may think something is a wierd hobby.

    A typical call from one of these non-coin collectors will often times go something like this:

    "XXXX Coin Shop"

    "I have this fill in that I pick one: dug up / found in my grandmother's house / stole. I heard one sold for fill in ludicrous amount of money, so what will you give me for mine?"

    "It depends upon date and conditon"

    "It's in great condition! And it's so old it doesn't even have a date!"

    "I'm sorry, we're not interested in your coin."

    "You're just trying to rip me off!!!"

    ***Phone slams down***

    Sometimes they call back and disguise their voice.

    I love coins.
    There's nothing in the rule book that says an elephant can't pitch.
