It looks to me like the original thread proved to be correct. 1971 Kelloggs are still tough to find. I think you will start to see more sets put together in 7 and 8 but not 9 and 10.

King Kellogg always maintained that '75 was a bit tougher than '71. '70' Kelloggs baseball were certainly popular when Zardoz and GMM were involved, but I don't think any issue has tanked so much since then, other than perhaps '88 Donruss. I can't imagine Horlen in a 9 going for $20, let alone the $240+ it once commanded
