Do threads ever just "disappear?"

Do the powers that be that run these boards ever remove threads?
I'm curious because I went looking for one that started yesterday and can not find it anymore.

It was a nasty little thread. And it's originator started questioning the business ethics of another board member in an inappropriate way. I am left wondering if they 86'd the thread by complaint or some kind of administrative decision. Has this happened before? In this particular case, I would be all for it.

If that thread from CoinDr went "poof", thats a good thing and PCGS was performing a public service to remove trash like that.

I don't know about the specific thread you refer to, but yes threads do get deleted and moved. They have to be off topic to get moved and out of line to be deleted.

Thankfully PCGS will allow you to bash them in a thread without deleting it. Otherwise there would only be a few threads on this forum. image

Yeah, Dragon. I was sorry I even posted on it.

  • I admit it..I deleted it.
While the subject may be debated, the solicitation of business was a little out of line.

Good for you, Carol. I'm with you on this one.

So that would make you "the powers that be" to which I refered, eh?
    Good to meet you.

My experience tells me that getting it on your card is the easy part. Getting paid extra for it is the hard part.
Buy the coin...but be sure to pay for it.

I'm glad someone is deleting inappropriate threads. Freedom of speech is great but sometimes it is hurful and unnecessarily so. This is PCGS's site and they should exercise whatever discretion they deem appropriate. It's our blessing that they give us a place to discuss things with out having us having to deal with all the nut cases from rec.collecting.coins. Just kidding. JUST KIDDING!

Now, how do I get 1jester's reference to me as a "sheister" removed?

I would only want that to happen for his benefit since he spelled shyster wrong.

Yes, yes, I know. I would know how to spell shyster, wouldn't I.

I still insist that "Doc" is Cobb...there was just something about blatant disrespect to all here on the boards...does that ring a bell? heh heh
  • A board member posted his new website, raz4u2.com and got yanked on Aug.6. I posted a reply and before you could say A.T. it was history.

Not only can threads disappear, so can board members.
