  • hey k;ectorkid id be careful about dipping that coin . if your dead set on dipping it then get some cheepo coins and go at it with them and learn about how it works and what you need to do . after all you dont want to ruin your coin. if you ruin anything let it be the cheepo coins

I can't for sure from a picture but at the base of all the stars and the date look black. The insides of zero's and nines and letters like D or O. When cleaning those areas as well as a thin edge along the outline of the figure tell me to look close at the surface for cleaning scratches.
  • Maybe, it has been cleaned i got it for next to nothing.

  • Buy the book before the coin. I would grasp some aspect of grading before buying coins that you have no clue as to the grade, just my opinion.
  • i know how to grade i gave it a EF but i wanted more opionions(spelling)

I guess andy007 thought you didn't know how to grade it since you write in your first post in this thread

<< <i>im not sure what grade it is >>

that would certainly make me think that you didn't know how to grade it. As for dipping, the coin is so dark already that if you dip it I bet you will end up with a yellowish coin that most folks would spot immediately as having been dipped.
