200 Dime? :-) Pic Enclosed

Here's my story... I won $400 on quickdraw last night and while I was at the bank depositing my winnings, I decided to pick up some coin rolls to pick through... when all of a sudden...

I imagine this is a partially filled die(??) Is there any value to something like this?

-Thanks!

  • Not much value. It is a grease filled die. If half the coin was gone the value would be higher.

Bummer, I have 3 of them that are similar, this one is the closest to having no 2 at the end.

    Thanks!

Are you keeping it? I figured I would keep mine as it is probably the first "error" I have found.

Yep, I've kept it just for that exact same reason! I was disappointed when I found it wasn't worth anything. My mom has a "55" washington quarter, too. More dramatic than this one, but still not worth too much. image

Hey keep looking though. You never know what you may find next. It's almost as much fun looking as it is finding!!!

  • I will definately keep looking. I found 2 Wheat Pennies and a State Quarter that has some of the metal flaked off of it... as well as the dime. Unfortunately most of the coins in the roll were 2002. My wife thinks I'm a nut going through all these coins but in the short time I have done this, she is impressed with the outcome. Although no biggie, I found 2 Proof Pennies (S Mint Mark) in the rolls I have gone through. It's fun and the money can always be returned to the bank at no additional cost.
