It only seems like I'm lucky because I never post about the piles and piles of sets that are nothing but junk that I go through in-between the finds.image

Nice pick up, bottom one looks like a nice cam coin.

I hate to steal your thunder...three is a nice pickup from unopened sets, but this is a good opportunity to share this story. I was at a California show last year and was looking at sets as I always do, then I came to a guy that had about 50 1964 sets. I grabbed the box and started looking at them. The guy told me that alot of them were sealed and that I could have all of them at bid. When I looked at a couple that were open (about five or six) I noticed they were all AH halves. Well I figured good pick up I can't pass on the sealed ones at bid, so I bought them all. What do you know, I got home and all 47 sets were AH, I couldn't believe it. I just kept opening them and opening them and bam, bam, bam, bam. Even made a 67dcam from one of them among several cams. Easily my best pickup. They are getting harder and harder to find...usually I find at least one per show, but last week at the Las Vegas show, I didn't find one. Except the two I got from my dad before the show, I haven't bought one for quite a while, at least three months (since Long Beach) I think.

  • Congrats Russ, but I think your JFK obsession is approaching my Lincoln wheat obsession and no one should go there...
