Ridiculous auction...

I have seen this person sell incredibly overpriced slabbed coins many times, mostly by (DCGS), and I'm sure many others have seen this sellers stuff also. Plus they alway say it is a great investment for the price. They also sell a lot of pr70 and ms70 DCGS slabs for hundreds of dollars. Isn't this just insane??? Although no one has bid on this one; I have seen others get screwed before.

There are a ton of dutch auctions for these:

  • It says they've looked at Millions and only sent the best ones in. It also says they sent in thousands of state quarters and are selling them at wholesale price.....$300.00 a peice??????? AAhhh this burns me up.

The seller must be high if they think anyone (except for a dumb a$$) would bid on this. $699 for two slabbed quarters from a company hardly anyone has heard of?? I don't think so.

Although I don't agree with anything that was stated in the ad.
I looked at the feedback for them and it looks pretty decent.
I can't imagine why, but there must some folks who are happy with their purchases. Go figure!

To each his own and let the buyer beware.

These guys are a plague on this hobby. We're all out to have fun but people/sellers like these are part of the guantlet we all must pass to reach our goals.

  • Well, think about it. If I guy is out of the loop enough to pay $600 for a Columbian commem graded 65 by some company named DCGS, and he buys all the stuff he reads in their auction description... what's he going to be leaving negative feedback about? I'm sure they ship it quick, no problems. Do you think someone naive enough to actually pay that for these coins has the appropriate skills to evaluate the coin they get?
I'm not surprized the feedback's reasonable. I'd be very surprized if they didn't hear from a few people further on down the road though.

  • Anyone that spends that kind of money on these state quarters is foolish.
There's just way too many quarters being hoarded and these will never be rare.
