#11 Because I have no idea how to tell the difference between an AT coin and a genuine toned coin.
#12 Because I think the grading services are too paranoid and some AT coins are in fact genuine toned coins.

10. Because I can.
9. Because they're so much easier to find and identify than naturally toned coins.
8. Because everyone else can spot them so quickly, they cost less.
7. Because they look so darned pretty.
6. Because with all the uncertainty in coin collecting, at least with AT'd coins I know what I'm getting.
5. Because unlike naturally toned coins they ARE still making these everyday.
4. Because when I can't find one I need on eBay I can make it myself.
3. Because there's always some newbie collector who won't think they're AT'd that I can sell to.
2. Because I can always find at least one grading service to slab them it means they're real.
1. Because it pisses everyone else off.

i hate to be the bearer of bad news, but hasn't anyone informed you that those are all dipped? well, maybe not all of them, but rumor has it at about 95%!! it's just so hard to tell these days. please see #6 above.
