    That article is 15 years old. Trevi was only recently reopened after a huge restoration.

    Although for those who are in need, I would never begrudge their retrieval of coins in order to eat or shelter. However, this dude seems to have made his living this way.... well, he was not living extravagantly and is 'disabled' mentally...
