Help me understand 1916 SLQ grading on 2 coins

2 1916 SLQ’s. Both are straight graded. One graded as G4 from NGC and the other graded as G6 from PCGS. Is one of these under graded or the other over graded? It looks to me like the NGC G4 is better than the PCGS G6 or am I just splitting hairs on the grade?
Let me know your thoughts as I haven’t been exposed to many SLQ’s during my collecting years. Thanks!

The NGC does look like it has more detail and more full rims. I would have guessed the grading the other way around with NGC being less stringent than PCGS. But, what do I know?

Yes, the NGC coin looks superior to the PCGS example and sometimes PCGS grades more liberally than NGC. 😮

I like the NGC coin a lot better and this is the reason why I don’t limit myself to just one brand of plastic.

The NGC coin is much better than the PCGS coin. Opinions, opinions, opinions ...nothing more.
Im in the ngc camp as well
(The first one)
The NGC coin has slightly more detail and appears to be "original." The PCGS coin is too bright for my tastes.
No doubt the NGC should be the G6 and PCGS G4 IMO
compared to the PCGS coin, the NGC coin has complete beading inside the obv. rim and the date is more visible, on the rev. there is more feather detail, and the lettering is complete; and to my eyes the PCGS coin may have had a light wipe on the rev.
Good catch I would say.
I think the NGC has a bit more meat on it.

I do like the series and have found PCGS to have a tougher grading standards then other companies,
I do low ball SLQ and have the number one set.
I have sent in low graded SLQ graded from the other TPGs and all of them have been graded higher (AG3 to G-6, F12 to F15)
And poor ones are very hard to get, Look over the grading standards for SLQ and you might see why that grade is so hard to get for 1925-1930 coins,
I like your 1916 SLQ and yes PCGS would grade the NGC coin higher, The rim is full and complete on the NGC coin,

I’ll take the NGC G4 8 days a week.
The NGC coin might make the cut at CAC or CACG
