The 1856 Liberty Head Double Eagle is a Philadelphia Mint issue from the early years of the denomination, struck in the wake of the California Gold Rush, yet far more elusive in higher-end About Uncirculated preservation than that figure would suggest, with an estimated 708 survivors across all grades. This AU55 PCGS example, further approved by CAC with a CAC Price Guide of $8,000 and no sales, presents a richly original orange-honey example complemented by softly frosted mint luster that remains active in the protected areas. Though overlooked by the mintage alone without understanding the low number of survivors, the 1856 has long been recognized by specialists as a challenging issue in attractive AU condition, particularly with CAC endorsement, and this example stands out for its combination of originality, surface quality, and superior eye appeal.

    So how much is this one? You throw out all kinds of numbers and quote prices in higher grades that dont correlate.

    When I posted the comment above the seller had posted an 1855 10$ in XF45 with CAC... but now the seller has completely changed the coin.. weird
