I think it looks AU but I am not a very good grader. I believe its an 1824/4.
Ive been told to ask before I buy.

XF 45-shot AU 50 details, but the color/toning looks off, but it could very well be the photos, overexposed and imaged through cellophane.
You’re on the right track at a good place. If Any TPG were to grade it, my guess would be in the AU range , too. Like 55+. May need a little help (solutions ? )!

From these photos it’s impossible to tell the surfaces of the coin. Could be a 45, could be higher if there’s luster and it’s sharper than the poor scans.
By the way, this coin has been on eBay for a while. If you’re not a good grader and asking before you buy, just buy a slabbed example for a little more. Here’s a nice slabbed PCGS XF45 from DLRC.

I think this coin has been on ebay for a couple of years. Probably a net 40, messed with and possibly recolored.

Apearence tells alot, go with intuition
You state that you’re “not a very good grader”. And yet, this isn’t the first time you’ve apparently been considering the purchase of an ungraded coin that’s not inexpensive and can often be found in a TPG holder.
Are you trying to get a bargain, while risking making a bad purchase?

Please take @Davidk7 's advice unless you are a serious masochist.
Coin appears as a AU55 details with Environmental Damage and is almost certainly not graded for a reason.

Something off with it, I agree with the others mentioning you should be buying a graded example if that's all you want.
If you are looking for bargains or to gamble then sure go ahead and just buy this one.
I'd want more pictures with better light to make a decision on it. Probably a $150-$175 coin.
Thanks for the advice.
I am in a difficult position right now. I cant walk. Im have a knee replacement done 10/22.
Im just surfing ebay looking for a good deal.
If I didnt want advice I wouldn't have posted this coin.
I wont touch it.

Everybody wants a bargain. Trying to get one when you're not a very good grader seems like a recipe for disappointment.
I am not confident that's all. I am a decent grader of Morgans but not so much with bust halves. I have spent hours looking for something decent to purchase.
I thought this coin might be a candidate for purchase.
I didnt want to make a mistake.

If you don’t want to make a mistake, don’t go searching for good deals on ungraded coins when you’re not a proficient grader. There are plenty of decent (or better) professionally grades coins available for purchase at fair prices.

Lots of people who are decent graders collect bust halves. How likely is it that you're going to find a bargain that they've overlooked? IMO, your best option is to take the advice @MFeld has posted.
I always listen to @MFeld and everyone else.
I am not afraid to put myself out there for advice.
So now I have tuned myself up and moving in a different direction.

There are plenty of decent Bust halves on ebay certified for under $200. I'd keep looking. Make offers, you never know when someone may want to give you a really good deal due to the very low consumer confidence at the present time.
How many sellers have you dealt with that wanted to give an unknown buyer what, in reality, was “a really good deal”? Despite what you label “very low consumer confidence”, in general, the coin market appears to be quite healthy.

Many vendors have a "make offer" on their listings. The question on any given item is how negotiable? Even on items without the make offer option people can contact them asking if they can do better. The vendor may well send them an offer.
I’m aware of that. But it doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with “a really good deal”. I could be wrong but I think your post about that could lead to false hope.

You got all the *solutions, friend. Sage Advice being first.
I never saw the coin before this post but whoever wants to sell it obviously is asking too much, if it’s been listed long time. So, even if another solution were used to restore coin, there are possible problems underneath, unseen.
Thanks for the exercise.

Rhetorical question: If someone has a nice coin for sale (you know- the kind collectors are actively searching for), what is the incentive for them to offer a prospective buyer "a really good deal"?
