Slab Haus Display

I pre-ordered a Slab Haus Display late last year and it arrived today. Its pretty nice, well built, fancy schmancy look, and LED lighting with a dimmer switch. May see what a BBCE Rack Pack looks like in it too.

Beautiful display, would look great in an office or man cave. I immediately wondered which 4 cards in my collection would be worthy of a spot...lol.

Easy choice for me to find the cards that mean the most to me personally, regardless of their value:

    76 Munson
    76 Hostess Munson
    75 Mini Munson
    73 Munson

Note on the 75 Mini, I would prefer my 71 Munson but decided to go with all Portrait rather than mix in a landscape.

Chris, will Hero Diamond Shells fit OK in the Slab Haus? As you know they provide UV protection.

BTW I first found out about them from you. Since then I've ordered 150 in total

    I really like it Chris!

Looks well made and really sharp.

Got a question tho - what about the light affecting the cards?

    FROM THEIR WEBSITE FAQ:

Will the lights affect my cards?

No, LED lights will not damage your cards because they emit little to no UV rays, which are the main cause of fading and deterioration in collectibles. They're a safe and energy-efficient option for display lighting.

Irregardless, my cards are locked up and in the dark unless I pop them out to enjoy once in a while and/or take pics. 👍👍

I remember you opening packs on all but the Aaron to land those sweet looking cards. Where did you land the Aaron auto? Great looking display.

    Hey JB !!

The 81 Payton I bought in 2014 for $750. One sold this year for $7900. The 97 Jordan I bought in 2017 for $255. It's worth $10,000 now. Yes collecting can be both a hobby and an investment. :)

The 54 Aaron I bought in 2014 for $4160 through Collect Auctions. It's a keeper!!!

I think the 81 Payton is one of the coolest photos he ever had on a card. Even better than most of his action poses (except the one where he's flying over the line).
