crossing an already attributed coin question
For those that have submitted a crossover for a coin that is already attributed by another TPG. Do you have to pay to have PCGS to attribute again, or does PCGS accept the other TPG attribution. It is a variety that PCGS recognizes, with its own PCGS #.

Nope you pay and no guaranteed cross.
I have submitted a number of ANACS and NGC slabbed coins to PCGS -- they will not guarantee you a grade and if you want a specific minimum grade you write it on the appropriate space on the form and the will charge you for examining it and send it back to you if they are not willing to cross at your minimum level. You pay no matter what.
edit: and if it is a variety that they normally would charge additional to make, you will have to pay that to cross.
